My Truck on a Ramp
I finally got a chance to get my truck back on a ramp to get some pics, and am very disappointed. As you can see in the pics, The front flexes pretty good, but the rear...well lets just say it needs some work.
When I built the rear springs I knew it was a temporary setup - using the stock upper main leaf and second military wrapped leaf with the rest of a Skyjacker 4" pack meant for a pre 88 Toyota (shorter springs). This got me a stiff, high arched pack that is too short for sue with a longer shackle. I am planning to change the rear suspension around, so it will be interesting to see how the changes work out...
By the way, this is a 23 degree ramp at Essentially Off Road in Murfreesboro, TN. I did not do the measurements to get an actual "ramp score", because that means little to me. I just want to get more flex out of the rear springs, and it is not there yet...
